Influence of the radiation and of the amount of palmitate-1-14C on the distribution of this fatty acid in the different lipid classes of the Ehrlich ascites
Description
The distribution of palmitate-1-14C in lipids of Ehrlich ascites depends on the total fatty acid incorporation (high uptake in the phospholipids for a low incorporation of palmitate). The biosynthesis of triglycerides increases with respect to the palmitate/ albumin ratio. With high fatty acid concentrations, palmitate uptake takes place preferentially in the triglycerides while its incorporation is lowered in the phospholipids. There is no modification in the incorporation and the distribution of palmitate-14C-1 after irradiation with gamma rays (cobalt - 60, from 4500 to 18000 rads). (authors)
Abstract (French)
(auteurs)Files
