Ferroelectric and nonlinear optical properties of Ca9-xZnxBi(VO4)7 vanadates

Description
Solid solutions Ca9-xZnxBi(VO4)7 (0≤x≤1), featuring according to X-ray phase analysis the whitlockite-type polar structure, were prepared by means of solid-phase synthesis. Their structural data, refined by the Rietveld analysis, i.e. a=10.8568 (1), c=37.924(1) A at x=0.5 and a=10.8451(1), c=37.867(1) at x=1.0; space group R3c, Z=6, suggest restricted character of the solid solutions existence in a narrow range 0≤x≤1 in case of isovalent zinc substitution for calcium. In the range of temperatures 290-1200 K the nonlinear optical activity and dielectric properties of the solid solutions discussed were studied

Методом твердофазного синтеза получены твердые растворы Ca9-xZnxBi(VO4)7 (0≤x≤1), обладающие по данным рентгенофазового анализа полярной структурой типа витлокита. Уточненные методом Ритвельда структурные данные (a=10.8568 (1), c=37.924(1) A при x=0.5 и a=10.8451(1), c=37.867(1) при x=1.0; пр. гр. R3c, Z=6) указывают на ограниченность существования области твердых растворов в узком интервале 0≤x≤1 при изовалентном замещении кальция на цинк. В интервале температур 290-1200 К изучены нелинейно-оптическаяактивность и диэлектрические свойства указанных соединенийAdditional details
