Nuclear fuel element with large negative temperature coefficient of reactivity

Description
The claim relates to a fuel element containing in its inner zone a solid fuel and a solid moderating substance of high hydrogen concentration, whereby the inner zone is separated from the surrounding coolant by a heat-insulating layer and by a shell, impermeable to fission products. The heat-insulating layer is an enamel layer burnt into the shell or a ceramic coat, and is arranged on the outside of the shell. (UA)
Abstract (German)
Der Anspruch bezieht sich auf ein Brennelement, das in seiner Innenzone einen festen Brennstoff und einen festen moderierenden Stoff von hoher Wasserstoffkonzentration enthaelt, wobei die Innenzone durch eine waermedaemmende Schicht und durch eine fuer Spaltprodukte undurchlaessige Umhuellung vom umgebenden Kuehlmittel getrennt ist. Die waermedaemmende Schicht ist eine in die Umhuellung eingebrannte Emailschicht bzw. ein keramischer Anstrich und auf der Aussenseite der Umhuellung angeordnet. (UA)Files
