The systems MnF2 - LnF3

Description
Using the methods of thermal, X-ray phase and crystallooptical analyses phase diagrams of the systems MnF2-LnF3 (Ln=La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, Lu) have been studied. The systems MnF2-LnF3 (Ln=La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Tb, Dy, Ho) are of the eutectic type with boundary solid solutions. The systems MnF2-LnF3 (Ln=Gd, Er, Yb) are of the eutectic type with metatectic nonvariant equilibrium. In the system MnF2-LuF3 incongruently melting compound of the composition MnLuF5 is found. Its roentgenographic characteristics and refraction indices are determined
