Description
A new MGCL (Multi-Group Constants Library) library with P3-scattering data, named MGCL-J3, has been produced from the newest evaluated nuclear data library in Japan. MULTI-KENO-II, the updated version of MULTI-KENO, can treat triangular array system, and calculate neutron scattering by hydrogen nuclide exactly. For a series of UO2F2 solution critical experiment, calculated keff's by MULTI-KENO-II with MGCL-J3 are closer to the measured value 1.0 than those by KENO-IV with MGCL-B-IV. This is due to the difference of thermal v-value of 235U and order of Legendre polynomials, and the more exact way of calculating neutron scattering by hydrogen nuclide in MULTI-KENO-II. (Author)
