Methanization of 2 chlorophenol (2CP) in presence of oxygen
Description
Chlorophenols, very toxic organic compounds, are widely distributed in soils and water. These substances are related to cellular damage as they have mutagenic and carcinogenic characteristics. Aromatic compounds have been eliminated from wastewater under methanogenic conditions; however, in most of the cases the elimination rates are low and some toxic intermediates might be accumulated.
