Thermal behaviour of alkali metal monooxyfluoroniobates
Description
Methods of thermography, roentgenometry and oscillating spectroscopy were applied to study thermal properties of MNbOF4 (M=Li, K, Rb, Cs) compounds. The decomposition mechanism by the following scheme is suggested: 2MNbOF4→M2NbOF5+NbOF3; 2MNbOF4↔MNbO2F2+MNbF6 and 2MNbO2F2↔MNbO3+MNbOF4. Polytherms of MNbOF4 and Li2NbOF5 electroconductivity in the 20-350 deg C temperature range are obtained. It is shown by means of IR radiation spectra that at MNbOF4 melt dilution with fluoride of an alkali metal not formation of isolated complexes, but destruction of oxyfluoride chains (NbOF4-)n takes place
