Description
The implications of present studies about the two modes of nuclear double beta decay namely the two neutrino double beta (2νββ) decay and the neutrinoless double beta (0νββ) decay are far reaching in nature. The former is a convenient tool to test the validity of nuclear models employed in structure calculations whereas the latter can test the physics beyond the Standard Model
