Description
Hydrodynamics of superfluid liquid 4He is studied by considering the interaction between the normal and superfluid components. As a result of this interaction the pressure is reduced which, in turn, asserts the existence of attractive interaction between the normal and the superfluid components. It is further observed that the existence of attractive interaction is necessary for the maintenance of persistent mass currents. (auth.)
