The Ahlfors-Bers-Teichmueller theory for arbitrary Riemann surfaces is outlined: Properties of conformal and quasi-conformal mappings are used to construct the Bers holomorphic model for Teichmueller space T; the holomorphic vector bundles of holomorphic q-differentials over T are also discussed.
