Very high-flux research reactor concepts
Description
Performance capabilities of liquid-metal-cooled, hard spectrum cermet cores are compared to those of water silicide and uranium-aluminum cores, as sources for very high, steady-state neutron fluxes. A novel core concept is introduced which has potential for overcoming conventional power density limitations, resulting in extremely high flux levels in steady-state
