Composition changes in the single crystals of solid solutions ZnxCd1-xSe by laser irradiation

Description
Raman scattering and photoluminescence spectra of single crystals of solid solutions ZnxCd1-xSe have been investigated before and after irradiation by pulse ruby laser. The observed short-wave shifts of maxima of the photoluminescence and Raman scattering spectra are explained by the formation of a layer with greater band gap in the surface region than in the initial material
