μSR study of Zn-induced magnetic order around x=((1)/(8)) in La2-xSrxCuO4

Description

The evidence of Zn-induced magnetic order is reported in the sample of x∼((1)/(8)) in La2-xSrxCuO4, through the muon-spin relaxation experiment. In the Zn-free (y=0) samples, the muon-spin coherent rotation is observed at around x=0.115 but not in x=0.125. However, 1% Zn-substitution for Cu causes the muon-spin coherent rotation even in x=0.125 below 7 K and enhances its onset temperatures Tr around x=0.115. The onset temperature Tr strongly depends on x in Zn-free samples but Zn-enhanced Tr are hardly dependent on hole concentration around ((1)/(8)). This indicates that Zn-substitution promotes the formation of static stripe structure consisting of two regions around x=((1)/(8)); magnetically ordered region with no hole and the hole-rich one governing conduction
