Parameterization of p-bar invariant cross section in p-p collisions using a new scaling variable
Description
It is found that to parameterize the p-bar invariant cross section in low-energy p-p collisions, a better scaling variable ΔX/sub R/ = X/sub R/-X/sub R/ min can be used instead of the usual radial variable X/sub R/, where X/sub R/ min is the minimum of X/sub R/ for a given s and p/sub t/. The ratio of the p-bar invariant cross section to corresponding radial-scaling limit is seen to be independent of p/sub t/ explicitly, and is monotonously and quickly approaching to one from the above for increasing s
