Space-time structure of hadron interaction

Description

Experiment with a fixed target in p, π and K beams of intermediate energies (10-20 GeV) is carried out t trace the evolution of nonequilibrium hadron states passing through a nuclear substance in search of the most characteristic manifestations of the mechanism of quark hadronization. Differential cross sections of leading hadron generation L on nuclear targets from hydrogen to lead are measured for semiinclusive reaction hA→L+Xη, where Xη is selection of events with certain configuration of tracks corresponding to incoherent channels with required pulse transfer from initial particle to ΔP target or interaction range Δz∼Planck constant/ΔP. 3 refs.; 2 figs
