Gamma-spectrometric investigation of some materials after their irradiation with californium-252 neutrons

Description

A californium-252 source device for sample irradiation is described. Techniques of sample preparation for the analysis, their irradiation, are considered. Gamma spectrometric measurements are made, the result processing being realized. Cross sections of certain nuclear reactions for 9 elements are estimated. The number of gamma-quanta from a gram of irradiated material per 1010 neutron·s is calculated. 2 refs.; 1 tab
