On the S-wave interaction between massive fermions and a GUT magnetic monopole
Description
We follow closely the line of analysis of Rubakov and Callan on the S-wave strong interaction between magnetic monopoles and fermions. Our observation is that the inclusion of a bare mass term for the fermions modifies in a non perturbative fashion the two dimensional Action of the condensate field. It induces a repulsive barrier. The coefficient of transmission is not computed here. (orig.)
