Computation of 2D fields in high voltage diodes and particle simulation in 2D plasmas as part of the SUPRENUM supercomputer project
Description
As part of the SUPRENUM project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research and Technology SUPRENUM versions were developed for parts of the BFCPIC program package for diode simulation. The work was carried out at the Institute for Data Processing in Technology at the Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center. The field computations were parallelized in the package 2D-DIO, and in 2D-PLAS the numerical simulation of the movements of electrically charged particles in these fields were parallelized. This report contains the final report of this project as of the deadline December 31, 1989 (end of the project). (orig.)

Im Rahmen des vom BMFT finanziell gefoerderten SUPRENUM-Vorhabens wurden im Institut fuer Datenverarbeitung in der Technik (IDT) des Kernforschungszentrums Karlsruhe (KfK) SUPRENUM-Versionen fuer Teile des Programmpakets BFCPIC zur Diodensimulation entwickelt. Dazu wurden im Arbeitspaket 2D-DIO die Feldberechnungen und in 2D-PLAS die numerische Simulation der Bewegungen elektrisch geladener Teilchen in diesen Feldern parallelisiert. Dieser Bericht enthaelt den Abschlussbericht fuer dieses Vorhaben zum Stichtag 31.12.1989 (Ende der BMFT-Foerderung). (orig.)
