Thermodynamic investigation of rhenium-iridium alloys

Description
ΔGsub(f)sup(0) values of rhenium-iridium alloys have been determined using the EMF method with solid fluoride and oxide electrolytes in galvanic elements - Re, K2ReF6, KF/CaFsub(2)/(Resub(x)Irsub(1-x)), K2ReF6, KF and Resub(1)ReOsub(2)|(ZrOsub(2))sub(0.85)(CaO)sub(0.15)|Resub(x)Irsub(1-x), ReO2 at 900-1000 K. ΔGsub(f)sup(0) and Ssub(f)sup(0) values for Resub(x)Irsub(1-x) at 1400 and 2000 K are determined on the basis of experimental results and the estimation of rhenium partial entropy in Resub(x)Irsub(1-x) alloys at 0.03 <= x <= 1. The thermodynamic data for the Re-Ir system are obtained for the first time
