Reactor fuel assembly

Description

Short rods in which short natural uranium is sealed are disposed at an axial center of a water rod. A power distribution of a PWR-type reactor is in proportion to the distribution of thermal neutron fluxes if fuel enrichment degree is constant. Further, the thermal neutron fluxes are generally increased where an infinite multiplication factor of the fuel assembly is increased. According to the present invention, the distribution of thermal neutron fluxes is made flat in the axial direction due to thermal neutron-absorption of natural uranium. As a result, the power distribution is flattened. (T.M.)
