Description
A high precision multiphysics point kinetics benchmark is presented to verify the point kinetics solvers in the Rattlesnake transport/diffusion code underdevelopment at INL. Heat transfer from the fuel kernels to the graphite binder within the pebbles and from the graphite pebble to the coolant is included along with the associated reactivity feedback. Both Taylor series and backward Euler algorithms provide highly precise solutions to which the solution from solvers in Rattlesnake will be compared. (authors)
