Optimal coding in scintillation hodoscopes
Description
Coding schemes used in scintillation hodoscopes for saving the number of photoelectron multipliers and for increase of speed of response when analyzing physical events are reviewed in brief. Specific features of codes applicable for hodoscopes with light coding and methods for development of these codes are considered. These codes can be developed by means of analytical methods of calculation. Application of the analytical method permits to conduct computerized analysis of code parameters and to develop coding schemes with assigned properties. Parameters and methods of development of codes intended for cluster and multiplicity detection equal to 2 and 3 are given
