Influence of Li ions on the accumulation of radiation defects in KBr under pulsed electron irradiation
- 1. Tomskij Politekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
An experimental investigation of the influence of Li+ ions (2 x 10-2 mol%) on the accumulation of radiation defects in KBr crystals under powerful pulsed electron irradiation at 300 K is presented. Spectra of induced optical absorption of undoped and Li-doped KBr electron irradiated at various doses and kinetic curves of accumulation of different color centers are given and discussed. At pulsed electron irradiation the impurity may have an effective influence both on the primary processes of Frenkel-pair production and on the secondary processes of stabilization of the radiolysis products in the crystalline lattice
