Investigation of selected lanthanide trifluorides in molten eutectic mixture LiF-MgF2

Description
Presented work is focused on investigation of 3 molten systems containing lanthanide fluorides: SmF3, GdF3 and NdF3 in molten (LiF-MgF2)eut. and the phase equilibrium and phase analysis, density and volume properties have been studied with the use of proper experimental techniques. All investigated systems represent the cross sections of ternary systems. Therefore their phase diagrams consist of several crystallization fields. The results show similarities in behavior of investigated properties as well as some differences, especially in evaluation of XRD patterns of solidified samples and volume properties (authors)
