On diffractive phenomena in elastic scattering of heavy ions
Description
The nuclear diffraction in elastic scattering of heavy ions is studied at intermediate energies, using strong absorption models for the S matrix in the angular momentum representation. New asymptotic expressions for the diffractive scattering amplitudes are obtained. The main attention is paid to studying the relation between the Fraunhofer and Fresnel parts of the obtained amplitudes in different regions of scattering angles
