Description
The selection of materials for the first wall and blanket structural components, first wall protection, tritium breeding, impurity control system, insulators and other applications are discussed with respect to the design and operational parameters currently envisaged for NET. The programmes which are currently being implemented or will be initiated during 1985-89 to provide the data base for the detailed design of NET and to guide the development of materials for DEMO are outlined.
