Thin films of high temperature superconductors- a review

Description
The problems associated with the thin film deposition of YBa2Cu3Ox (YBCO) by sputtering and laser ablation techniques are discussed. Present status of technology for the preparation of YBCO thin films and related multilayer structures is reviewed. The results of the I-V characteristics measurements carried out on the thin films using a pulse method are presented. A model has been developed to account for the dissipation in YBCO films.
