Electrochemical behavior of ferrous and ferric ions in EDTA/N2H4 solutions
Description
Laboratory testing was conducted and electrochemical measurements were made to develop an understanding of the conditions controlling the behavior of ferric (Fe+3) and ferrous (Fe+2) ions in solutions of ethylenediaminetetraaceticacid (EDTA) and hydrazine (N2H4). Such solutions are being considered for use in the chemical removal of magnetite (Fe3O4) deposits from the secondary side of pressurized water reactor (PWR) steam generators
