Observation at HERA of events with an isolated charged lepton and large missing transverse momentum

Description
At HERA events are observed, in which a high energy isolated charged lepton is accompanied by an imbalance in the transverse momentum. While some of these events can be explained by the expected level of W production, 3 events remain, which have no probable explanation within the Standard Model
