Description
A great number of models and assumptions are used in the interpretation of measurements for the purpose of deriving dose values. As a result of several, partly significant uncertainties involved, there is a great need for research projects. It is necessary to examine the behaviour of the radioactive decay products within the body, to assess the contributions made to the excretion by natural sources of thorium incorporations, to review the biokinetic model used and to verify the representativity of the monitoring method applied. Abstract (German)
Bei der Interpretation von Messungen zur Ableitung von Dosiswerten finden zahlreiche Modelle und Annahmen Anwendung. Aufgrund einiger, teilweise erheblicher Unsicherheiten, die hiermit verbunden sind, besteht dringender Bedarf an der Durchfuehrung von Forschungsvorhaben. Es ist erforderlich, das Verhalten der radioaktiven Folgeprodukte im Organismus zu untersuchen, die Beitraege natuerlicher Quellen von Thorium-Inkorporationen fuer die Ausscheidung zu ermitteln, das verwendetete biokinetische Modell zu pruefen und die Repraesentativitaet angewendeter Ueberwachungsverfahren zu verifizieren.
