Manual of energy transition and participation

This handbook discusses the transformation of the energy system in Germany and other countries against the backdrop of civil society, economic and governmental activities and developments in 68 social and humanities contributions. The so-called citizen energy describes a joint operation of energy plants. Carers can be committed citizens, but also participation offers and public institutions can count to these forms - beyond conventional management and use. In addition, there are other forms of participation, exchange and discourse of citizens, companies, government and politics in the context of the energy transition. Of interest here are not only socio-economic and technical innovations, but also effects that radiate on society and vice versa, such as societal trends, which are integrated into the design of the energy transition. The illustrations are not limited to the description of individual developments in the use of renewable energies, but also refer to adjacent areas of energy policy, sustainable economics, local civil society and state activities, use and influence of forms of communication and media, discourses on technology, conflicts, etc.
