Elemental analysis using charged-particle induced prompt γ rays
Description
Prompt γ-ray energies below 600 keV are reported for 8 MeV proton, 16 MeV deuteron and 32 MeV α particle bombardment of thick samples of 7 pure elements viz. Li, F, Na, Cl, Ca, Fe, Pb. Some of the reported lines from observed nuclear reactions have not been previously documented for analytical use. (author)
