Description
The reaction 3Hep → 2p2nπ+ has been studied for the first time making use of the 80-cm diameter ITEP liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to the 3He separated beams with 5-GeV/c momentum. A sample of 3509 events of this reaction has been selected, that corresponds to the cross section 14.4±0.2 mb. The angular, mass and momentum spectra have been studied in the pole model with final-state interaction of the spectator nucleons in the total phase space. Analyzing the effective mass of of the pπ+ system it is concluded that in the reaction 3Hep → 2p2nπ the Δ++ isobar is produced in peripheral quasi-free pN collisions without its broadening. In the studying reactor the indications for production of two- and three-baryon resonances have not been obtained
