Lithium alloys with aluminium: thermodynamic properties and electrochemical behaviour in molten salts (review)

Description

Data on phase diagram of the system lithium-aluminium, thermodynamic properties of the alloys in liquid and solid states, their preparation, have been considered. Cathode introduction of lithium into aluminium from diverse molten electrolytes, anodic behaviour of the alloys have been discussed. Special attention has been paid to the employment of solid alloys of lithium-aluminium system as anodic material in highly efficient chemical sources of current for different purposes with molten electrolytes. 178 refs.; 9 figs
