Description

Thin films of the composition Ni51-xTi49Ag x, 1 < x < 9, were prepared by sputtering. Characterization by cantilever deflection and transmission electron microscopy demonstrated that the martensitic transformation temperatures of the ternary films did not differ from those of the binary NiTi and that the silver was incorporated into the alloy as almost pure Ag nano-precipitates
