ROSACE, an experimentally based model

  • 1. CEA-Centre de Fontenay-aux-Roses, Fontenay-aux-Roses (France)

Description

The ROSACE code was mainly developed to evaluate the sensitivity of fuel thermal performances for designing parameters such as geometry, density, etc. Such a code has not to been able to give an a priori entirely reliable description of fuel behaviour under any circumstances. The best that can be satisfactory is a thorough special calibration of the code within the restricted area of any specific investigation. That is the reason for the rather light structure built for the ROSACE code which is described in some detail
