Effect of target residual ion on electron capture in the continuum of fast neutral atom

Description
The unified mechanism of electron capture into the fast neutral-ion continuum induced by the field of the target residual ion is proposed. The effect of the effective potential on the intensity and shape of the peak electron energy spectra at the zero ejection angle is discussed as a function of the collision energy
