Direct solid-phase RIA (dRIT) for the detection of hepatitis B (Australia) antibodies in different groups of persons
Description
A new, specific and highly sensitive direct solid-phase RIA for the detection of HB antibodies is described. It is about 10,000 times as sensitive as the immunodiffusion test and about 10 times as sensitive as the radioimmunoprecipitation test. This test was used to investigate the presence of HB antibodies in different groups of persons. Of the patients with HB-antigen-positive hepatitis examined 6 to 12 months after the transaminase peak, 74% had formed antibodies. (orig./AJ)

(orig./AJ)Additional details
