Description
Xeroradiography has been widely used for x-ray used and is widely used in medical diagnosis and in industrial flaw detection, but only for radiations from about 70 to 250 kV. In the present study, xeroradiography is used with penetrating radiation of energy between 0.36 and 6 MeV. The main attention is given to the PER4-3-P xerographic plates used for high-energy radiation. These plates are compared with previous ones. High energy sources such as iridium 192, cesium 137, MIB-4 and PMB-6 betatrons and so on require the use of PER4-3-P plates containing lead to obtain the maximum radiographic sensitivity. With high-energy xerography the adverse effects associated with radiation fatigue do not occur in the selenium layer, although they occur with high probability with low-energy radiation. 11 refs., 3 figs., 2 tabs
