Description
The effects of Na ion content were investigated in (K0.47Li0.03Na0.50+x )(Nb0.8Ta0.2)O3 (KLNNT) piezoelectric ceramics prepared by using a solid state reaction method. The content of Na was controlled from -4 to 4 mol%. The best piezoelectric constant of 191 pC/N was observed for the nominally stoichiometric composition x = 0.0. The improved piezoelectric property was attributed to the polymorphic phase transition from a tetragonal phase to an orthorhombic phase observed by using X-ray diffraction and temperature-dependent dielectric constants.
