The dependence of Tc on oxygen partial pressure in undoped and doped Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+δ-samples
Description
The dependence of Tc on the stoichiometric parameter δ in superconducting compounds of the general formula Bi2Sr2Can-1CunO4+2n+δ has been discussed for phases with n=1 and n=2. Tc in these p-type superconductors depends on the number of holes per Cu per CuO2 plane which is related to the excess oxygen. It is generally assumed that excess oxygen is incorporated in the BiO layers and that the oxygen content of the Bi2O2+δ units is influenced by the partial oxygen pressure during preparation. (orig.)
