Description

The impurity level in the tokamak-type reactor with turbulent plasma blanket - near wall region with increased plasma transfer caused by stochasticity of force lines of the magnetic field - is calculated. Sputtering of the first wall by deuterium, tritium and helium particles is supposed to be the main source of the impurity. The impurity ion flux is considered to be the sum of neoclassical, anomalous and caused by destruction of the magnetic surfaces in the near wall layer. A hydrodynamical equation of diffusion is solved for determination of the impurity distribution. The numerical results are presented for the INTOR reactor with the first wall made of stainless steel. The obtained impurity densities are essentially lower than critical ones for thermonuclear burning
