The design of small leak detection system in LMFBR steam generator

Description
The scheme of the diffusion-type hydrogen meter system used for detecting the small leaks in the steam generators of LMFBR is described and analysed. The theoretical models of sodium-water reaction and diffusion of hydrogen through nickel membrane are established. the performance of the system including sensitivity, response time, mechanic property and stability is discussed and evaluated on the basis of experimental data. the result indicates the system has good properties in mechanics and hydrogen permeability and can meet the requirement of LMFBR
