Description of relativistic nuclear motion in deep inelastic heavy ion collisions

Description

Using the equation of motion and commutation relations for current and density operators, the collective Hamiltonian describing the relative motion of colliding nuclei is constructed. This Hamiltonian is used to investigate deep inelastic collisions of heavy ions. The interaction time and kinetic energy loss are calculated at different values of initial angular momenta for the 40Ar+12+H1Sb (Esub(c.m.)=225 MeV) reactions. It is shown that the suggested model explains 60-80% radial kinetic-energy loss
