Description
Carbon-based electronics is considered as one of the most promising options to replace silicon technology in the future. Good examples are carbon nanotubes (CNT) and graphene, which have received remarkable progress recently. Both materials possess interesting electrical properties, especially high carrier mobility and promise a bright future in field-effect devices.The goal of this review is to outlines some recent developments in the field of carbon-based electronics. The review outlines the most important applications of carbon materials in electronics: diamond-like carbon, carbon nanotubes and graphene. The present part of the review is focused on the diamond-like carbon films, preparatory techniques, electrical and optical properties, various applications and future perspectives for the electronics.
