Isotope effects in the system ZrCr2 hydride-H2

Description
Isotopic equilibrium and kinetics of hydrogen isotope exchange within ZrCr2 hydride-hydrogen isotpes (H, D, T) system in 296-373 K temperature range are studied. It is shown that relatively high values of separation ciefficients of hydrogen isotopes are observed in the studied system. Inversion of isotopic effect at high concentrations of heavy isotope occurs only at 353 K. It allows to use ZrCr2 as working body at separation of hydrogen atoms both at the stage of initial and of end concentration. Activation energy of hydrogen isotopic exchange for H-T system within whole temperature range is equal to 17±2 kJ/mol
