Description

Measurement of the multiplicity and pseudorapidity distribution of photons produced in collisions of 158 A-GeV Pb beam with Pb, Nb and Ni targets carried out using photon multiplicity detector (PMD) in the WA98 experiment at the CERN-SPS. Photon multiplicities are measured in the range of 2.9 ≤ η ≤ 4.2
