Status of control of radioactive waste in the atomic power plants and radiation exposure conditions of workers, fiscal 1995

Description

The data were selected from the reports of radiation control in the fiscal year 1995 described by the installation personnels of the atomic power plants on the basis of the Law for Control of Nuclear Materials, Nuclear Fuel Materials and Atomic Reactors. The data contain the amount of radioactive waste gas, liquid and solid and the change of them from fiscal 1976 to 1995 and the distribution of the dose equivalent of workers in each atomic power plant in Japan. The change of the total and the average exposure dose in eighteen atomic power plants are shown. The amount of release of the radioactive waste gas and liquid were very lower than the annual controlled release target. On the control conditions of radioactive waste solid, the number of drum and it's cumulative sum remain on the same level. The annual dose equivalent of radiation workers is lower than the annual limit of intake (50 mSv a year). The average dose equivalent per person is 1.0 mSv. (S.Y.)
