A bio-economy strategy for France - Stakes and vision + Action plan 2018-2020

Description

After an introduction on the bio-economy in France (reality, ambitions for transitions), this publication discusses the main stakes of bio-economy in France: to make products of the bio-economy market realities, to support the transition towards a competitive, innovative and sustainable bio-sourced industry, to sustainably produce bio-resources to respond to the demands in the whole value chain of bio-economy, to guarantee a sustainable bio-economy, to build up dialogue with the society for a shared bio-economy, and to innovate for a competitive bio-economy. Axes of development of a national strategy for the bio-economy are identified. An action plan is proposed in a second document. Numerous actions are defined with a brief description, the associated steering organisms, planned studies, and agenda. These actions are organised according to several axes: to improve knowledge, to promote bio-economy and its products among the general public, to create conditions of matching supply and demand, to sustainably produce, mobilise and transform bio-resources, and to remove bottlenecks and to mobilise funds
