Description
The effective liquid drop model with only two parameters is generalized to describe the half-lives of α-transitions from ground states to ground states, from isomeric states to ground states, and from isomeric states to isomeric states. In numerical calculations, we use the combination of a constant mass asymmetry shape description for the mass transfer and the effective inertia coefficient. The calculated favoured α-decay half-lives of both ground states and isomeric states are in good agreement with the experimental data. By taking into account the effect of a centrifugal potential barrier in the model, we calculate the unfavoured α-decay half-lives of the isomers in the superheavy region and reach reasonable agreement with the experimental data. Above results show that the effective liquid drop model is very efficient to calculate the α-decay half-lives of both the ground states and isomeric states
